Travel Tuesdays with not_luna_lovegood #5

Hello and welcome to Travel Tuesdays! I'm not_luna_lovegood and this will be my last Travel Tuesdays until December. And SURPRISE! I still have severe writer's block! I've actually been looking forward to this day because I have more than a few ideas for Whatever Wednesdays and not very many for Travel Tuesdays. So today I will be talking about a trip to Chicago, Illinois that I barely remember because it happened a long time ago!

We went to Chicago with my grandparents and I'm pretty sure we stayed there for about four days. One of the first things I remember doing there was going to the Rainforest Cafe. If you're familiar with the Rainforest Cafe, you know that there are these robotic animals all around the restaurant that scared me half to death when I was little. But nowadays, I probably would have found them kind of cool. I also held a snake there! I remember being really scared at first but it wasn't that bad.

The Rainforest Cafe

Another restaurant I remember visiting is the Cheesecake Factory (my current favorite restaurant), but I only remember the visit because I was being very whiny because I didn't like anything off the menu (I used to be a vegetarian).

The Cheesecake Factory

When I was little, I used to LOVE American Girl dolls, so we went to the American Girl Place. It was definitely my favorite part of the trip then! The thing I remember most is when I got my picture taken with the Girls of the Year. I remember it because it turned out to be disastrous! There was this girl who kept staring at me because I wasn't cooperating and the naive, six-year-old version of me kept on thinking she wanted to be my friend when she was probably thinking, "What a whiny little brat". Now that I think back on that memory, I realize that she was probably right!

The American Girl Place

Another place we went to was the Shedd Aquarium, and it was awesome. I want to go there again because I love the ocean! The beluga whales (you know, the white ones?) were my favorite part. I even got a beluga plushie there to remember my trip. I do wonder if they had narwhals there, though. I love narwhals!

On the left is the Shedd Aquarium and on the right is a beluga whale plushie (I chose not to do a real picture of a beluga whale because to be honest, the real ones I found on Google Images are slightly terrifying!)

And that's all I remember from my trip to Chicago! I know what you're thinking: I used to be a whiny brat back then. And you're right. But in my defense, I was like six when this happened! That's a wrap for Travel Tuesdays with not_luna_lovegood and I will see you next week Wednesday for Whatever Wednesdays!

Debunking Musical Sterotypes with Banana_elephant

Hey, Banana_elephant here for my last Music Monday! Honestly, I'm not sad about going on to Travel Tuesday because I had such a hard time thinking what to write about most of the time. Anyways, here I'll be debunking the stereotypes of 5 different music genres.
I'm sure at least some of you have heard of MyMusic, a YouTube show made by the FineBros. The show is about a guy, nicknamed Metal for his like of Metal music, coming to work for a website called MyMusic. All of the other employees each have a musical nickname based off of what music they listen to. Everyone except for Intern 2 that is, who everyone hates, especially their boss Indie. The show has a very large fanbase, and had just finished season two back in January. I, as well as many of the MyMusicians, hope the cast comes back someday for one last season.

1.) Country
Coming from where I come from, a lot of people are obsessed with country music. Seriously, obsessed. The biggest stereotype here is if you live in the country, you like country. This is in fact not true at all. I can name plenty of people I know, all who live far from town, who don't like country. In fact, a few despise it.

2.) Rock
A lot of people think that rock is for people who wear leather jackets and combat boots, but that is not right (actually, I wear leather jackets and combat boots, but I like country and pop). I have a friend who loves rock, and she wears frilly things, plays the trumpet, and reads a lot of books. Most people don't even know she likes rock, and most certainly would never guess it.

3.) Pop
Okay, let's just get this one over with. Pop is not only for girls. Crazy, right? There are several people that I'm acquaintances with (not exactly friends), and totally believe this. One for our close friends here at the Brick Wall really likes Katy Perry (Pop) and is a guy! I don't understand at all the origin of this stereotype, and I also don't understand why people would stand with it.

4.) Punk
Well, this one might be hard too. Punk is not just for people who have multiple piercings and stay out late partying. I for one, hate partying, and I listen to some Punk music (5 Seconds of Summer, but seriously just go along with it). There really isn't any more to say, I guess this stereotype it just that simply debunked.

5.) Hip-Hop
Let me get this to you straight, hip-hop is not just for "gangsters" (?). Quotation marks meaning people who wear gold chains, snap-backs, and big jackets (oh look, a stereotype). If you've seen MyMusic, you'd understand what I mean. Anyways, there are a fair amount of people I know who like hip-hop (a bit, it's not like they're obsessed or anything) and guess what? None of them even own a snap-back.

Some parts of these stereotypes may be true, but not all. yes, someone who wear leather jackets may like rock, but not all. See you all next week for Travel Tuesday!

Hey guys! CHUCKLES here, today I will be doing a smaller but extremely cool fandom. The fandom I will be doing today is the Mew Mew Power fandom. How I got into it was Banana_elephant told me about this really cool anime show called Mew Mew Power so just out of curiosity (because you guys should know that I love a good anime!) I watched the first episode of the series. ... Absolutely horrible idea... I have now watched 17 episodes in 5 days. Yeah, so now I am obsessed with it. But anyways on to what this show is about.

Well, it is mostly about this girl named Zoey who finds out that she is a Mew Mew. Which means she is infused with an Iriomote Wildcat. That means she also has superpowers. With these superpowers she has to fight the cyniclons which are evil aliens. In order to be a Mew Mew she has to work at the Mew Mew cafe. The cafe is a cover-up for the Mew Mews secret base. While balancing the cyniclons and serving trays on her head she is falling in love with a boy named Mark. She tries to keep it a secret from him but he eventually finds out.

The main characters:
Zoey:  She is the leader of the Mew Mews and her power is strawberry-bell
Corina:  She is the second member of the group, her power is heart-arrow
Bridget:  Being the third member of the Mew Mews her power is combat-castanets
Kiki:  Member number 4 has the power of puring rings
Renee:  The last but not least member of the group her power is Zacross whip

Their mentors are Wesley and Elliot.

The cyniclons:
Dren:  He is the first cyniclon to appear in the story
Tarb: He appears second in the story
Sardon: He appears third in the story

Here is a picture of the Mew Mews:

From left to right: Renee, Kiki, Bridget, Corina, and Zoey

Here are Wesley and Elliot:

So guys I guess I'll be seeing you next week, bye! Chao! Adios!

Throwback Thursday and Quidditch_Turtle

Hey everyone! This week, I too am having writer's block, but I just want to start out by saying it was my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary this past Saturday (it was actually just the party, their real anniversary is August 8th), but I thought I'd throw that out their to give them some publicity and I thought I was Throwback-ish enough. Congrats, guys!

*after a few hours, some other ideas that failed, and asking mom for help*

Okay, I've thought of something! I am going to list the most popular boy and girl baby names of the 21st century. Idea, don't fail me now!!

Travel Tuesdays with not_luna_lovegood #4

Welcome to Travel Tuesdays with not_luna_lovegood, and today I'm going to talk about fictional places I wish were real because I can't think of anything else to write about.

The number one place I wish was real, but sadly isn't, is Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, from the Harry Potter series! I would LOVE to go on the Hogwarts Express, get sorted into my house (I'm pretty sure I'd be in Ravenclaw), learn spells, make new friends, play Quidditch, go to Hogsmeade, and basically have the time of my life at Hogwarts! Hey, I would give up Internet privileges to go to Hogwarts, and I can't go a day without using the Internet. At least we have the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Another fictional place I wish was real was Camp Half-Blood from the Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus series. I would love to spend my summers there, making new friends and maybe joining some quests! I would also love to play Capture the Flag with everyone! I wish I was a demigod so I could go to Camp Half-Blood.

Camp Half-Blood

I also wish Neverland from Peter Pan was real for a lot of reasons, the first being the fact that it looks so beautiful in the Disney version of Peter Pan! You can also go on adventures, and meet fairies and mermaids! But the main reason why I wish Neverland was real is because you don't have to grow up there! I want to stay a kid forever!

Neverland

The last fictional place? (I'm not sure how else to describe it) I would like to visit in is the TARDIS from Doctor Who. I actually don't watch Doctor Who (but I'm probably going to start watching it sometime soon) but I know a lot about it from CHUCKLES and Banana_elephant, so I know what the TARDIS is and it sounds so cool! I would get to travel throughout time and space, which I think just sounds so freaking awesome!

url
The TARDIS

I'm aware that this is kind of fandom-ish but I can't think of anything else to do for Travel Tuesdays so bear with me now. I'm not_luna_lovegood and I'll see you next week on Travel Tuesdays!

Banana_elephant's Top 5 Television Songs

Banana_elephant here, and this week I bring you my top 5 favorite songs from TV shows! Sorry this post will be short (probably) because I have to practice my piano a lot and stuff...
Anyways, these are my favorite songs from my favorite television series!

1.) Supernatural from Mew Mew Power
By far my favorite song from my favorite anime! EEK! Makes me fangirl just thinking about it! Love the transformation songs though, especially Renee's! I think it fits her personality completely. Speaking of Mew Mew Power, I to this day am still upset that they didn't finish the whole series, because I really do not like watching it subbed!

2.) I Am the Doctor from Doctor Who
Whovian jam in the house! There could not have possibly been a song that fits the Doctor more completely than this one! It's dark and mysterious with lots of energy, you should have a listen if you haven't already. I think it would be really awesome to see a band of Whovians playing this song for some reason.

3.) House of Anubis Theme from House of Anubis
I'm not even sure what it is about this theme that I like so much. Maybe it's because it's so happy and cheery, or maybe it's just the fact that it reminds me of the show. Truthfully, I'm not entirely sure.

4.) Gravity Falls Theme from Gravity Falls
I love this theme! It really has the feeling of what the town of Gravity Falls really is, mysterious and full of energy. What I think is really cool though is how it fits so well into the opening. It just really amazes me for some unknown reason, I mean theme songs are supposed to fit the openings!

5.) Pokemon Original Series Theme from Pokemon the Original Series
This is my favorite opening song from all of the Pokemon series! Nothing beats it, and I really am not a fan of any of the new theme songs, or really the new series at all really. Truthfully, I miss the old Pokemon.

Sorry it was kept short, I've been real busy lately. I'll try to make the next one nice and long! Okay, not too long, but you know what I mean.

Friday, July 18, 2014

Hey guys, CHUCKLES here and today I will be doing all about Fandoms. I know a lot of you know what a Fandom is but some people, my mother for example, really don't know what a Fandom is.  So here we go.

First of all a Fandom is a group of people that all really like or obsess over something in common (this is most often a book, T.V. show, or a movie). Usually these people are usually called something, for example, Harry Potter: Potterheads or Doctor Who:Whovians. Overall a person in a Fandom is called a Fangirl/boy. But Fangirl is most commonly used.

Now some people think Fangirls are stupid and brainless and sometimes slightly scary like some Fandoms generally are.
*clears throat*
But there really are two types of Fangirls:
The actually brainless ones, features: overreacting and being generally obnoxious every time they see something that has to do with their Fandom.
The decent ones, features: cracks simple jokes to their friends about it and smiles to themselves when they see something that relates to their Fandom.

At times I do fall into both of these categories. And it's fine to be in both of these categories but just saying some people may not like it. The reason why I can do it is because I have the reputation of a snail at my school. But generally I am very wacky so I guess they should suspect it. What I am trying to say is go be wacky and weird at home and keep it away from the idiots at school that judge people like us.

Here is an example of an overreacting yet decent Fangirl: My Friends and I were sitting in Language one day and since our Language teacher loves Harry Potter she likes to make Harry Potter references. Evidently me and my friends all sat in one corner of the room at the time. So our teacher puts a Harry Potter page up on the Smart board and started talking about line breaks on that page. So she has it up and right away Quidditch_turtle, Banana_elephant, and I start freaking out silently in the corner because it is Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone.
Sometimes I really wonder about my friends and I.

So guys that is probably the best explanation I can give you. See ya next week! And happy Fangirling!

Throwback Thursday with Quidditch_Turtle 7/17/14

Hey everyone, Quidditch_Turtle here! As you know, we're arriving at the final few games in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. So this week, I want to give you every World Cup, from the first to the last, and some stats from every championship game. Oh yeah, and I got all of my information from www.football-bible.com.

1. Uruguay (host country) 1930 (year of cup)
Uruguay vs. Argentina (final competetors), final score: 4-2, Uruguay (winner)

2. Italy 1934
Italy vs. Czechoslovakia, final score: 2-1, Italy (extra time)

3. France 1938
Italy vs. Hungary, final score: 4-2, Italy

Notice that there is a big gap between these two cups. There were no World Cups hosted because of WWII.

4. Brazil 1950
Uruguay vs. Brazil, final score: 2-1, Brazil

5. Switzerland 1954
Brazil vs. Sweden, final score: 5-2, Brazil

6. Chile 1962
Brazil vs. Czechoslovakia, final score: 3-1, Brazil

7. England 1966
England vs. West Germany, final score: 4-2, England (extra time)

8. Mexico 1970
Brazil vs. Italy, final score: 4-1, Brazil

9. West Germany 1974
West Germany vs. Netherlands, final score: 2-1, West Germany

13. Italy 1990
West Germany vs. Argentina, final score: 1-0, West Germany

14. United States 1994
Brazil vs. Italy, final score: 0-0, 3-2 in penalty shootout, Brazil

15. France 1998
France vs. Brazil, final score: 3-0, France

16. South Korea and Japan 2002
Brazil vs. Germany, final score: 2-0, Brazil

17. Germany 2006
Italy vs. France, final score: 1-1, 5-3 in penalty shootout, Italy

18. South Africa 2010
Spain vs. Netherlands, final score: 1-0, Spain (extra time)

19. Brazil 2014
Germany vs. TBD, final score: TBD, winner TBD
By the way, TBD means "To Be Determined" if you didn't already know that.

I found some pictures of the official logos and posters of every World Cup. On the logo picture, some of the earlier world cups have the posters instead of logos. I guess they just didn't make logos at the time.

If you would like to zoom in on the posters (or logos for that matter), just press and hold the control (Ctrl) button on your keyboard, and hit the "+" key a few times until you get it the size you want. To return to normal size, do the same thing, except when you would hit the "+" key, hit the "-" key. This works for any browser or website on your computer by the way :)

See you guys next week! ~Quidditch_Turtle

Travel Tuesdays with not_luna_lovegood #3 (aka I HATE WRITER'S BLOCK!)

Hello, welcome to Travel Tuesdays with not_luna_lovegood, and may I just say, I have absolutely no idea on what to write about. My family has been really busy lately because my brother is involved in baseball so we haven't gotten the chance to do any little trips, aside from little things like the mall and the zoo. I have writer's block, so I guess I will just show you some famous landmarks made out of Legos, because who doesn't like Legos (except for when you step on them, ouch!)?

The Eiffel Tower, located in Paris, France. You can actually buy a kit to make this!

The Great Pyramids of Giza, located near Cairo, Egypt. Too bad there isn't a Sphinx to go along with it.

The Taj Mahal, located in Uttar Pradesh, India. Just think of how much time and effort it would take to build this!

The Great Wall of China, located all over China. I found a lot of different designs for the Great Wall in Legos when I searched it on Google Images, but this is the most complicated and interesting to me.

The Acropolis, located in Athens, Greece. Look at the detail!

The Colosseum, located in Rome, Italy. This looks pretty realistic if you ask me.

The Statue of Liberty, located in New York City, United States. I also added the Statue of Liberty Lego person for no reason other than the fact that I wanted to.

Stonehenge, located in Wiltshire, United Kingdom. Another very realistic Lego monument.

Big Ben, located in London, United Kingdom. This is actually the one at the Legoland theme park in Windsor and I'm pretty sure it's not actually made of Legos. But it was too cool not to include, so that's why I put it here.

Which Lego monument is your favorite? Tell me in the comments below! That's it for this week's Travel Tuesdays, and I'll see you next Tuesday!

Banana_elephant's Top Ten Feel Good Songs

Hey, it's Banana_elephant! This week I'll be talking about my top ten favorite feel good songs. I always listen to these songs whenever I'm down in the dumps.

1.) All About Us, He is We
I think this is one of the cutest songs ever! I recently just heard it for the first time and it's now one of my favs!

2.) Night Like This, LP
This is one of my favorite songs to listen to while on a road trip.  It's one of the greatest songs to just jam out to.

3.) People Like Us, Kelly Clarkson
I always listen to this song when I'm getting ready to go somewhere or when I do chores. It makes me forget what I'm doing sometimes, but I still get things done on time.

4.) Replay, Zendaya
My #1 song to dance to when I'm bored or have blasting in my ears. I love the energy and the beat. Zendaya's one of my favorite artists and I love most of her songs.

5.) Titanium, David Guetta (feat. Sia)
Number one song to nod your head to the beat! The energy is so powerful in this song and is present in every moment.

6.) We Are, Big Time Rush
Definitely my favorite BTR song of all time. It totally just says everything BTR is about, and I love that. Hearing this song always makes me think of the last episode of the TV series Big Time Rush.

7.) Hall of Fame, The Script (feat. will.i.am)
Best song ever to scream your lungs out to. Still one of my favorite songs, for almost two months it was my jam.

8.) Blown Away, Carrie Underwood
Being brought up around country music, it's the most familiar to me even though I actually don't know the title to most of the songs. By far my favorite country song.

9.) Bleeding Out, Imagine Dragons
I'd have to say this is my favorite Imagine Dragons song. I always scream the following part.
'Cause I'm bleeding out
So if the last thing that I do
Is to bring you down
I'll bleed out for you
So I bare my skin
And I count my sins
And I close my eyes
And I take it in
And I'm bleeding out
I'm bleeding out for you

10.) She Looks So Perfect, 5 Seconds of Summer
This is the song that I air guitar to just about every time I hear. Absolutely my favorite 5SoS song. Whenever I hear it on that one TeenNick commercial I start jamming out (haha).

I guess these are mostly my favorite songs, but they're just so awesome. I think these are all great jams (marmalade, inside joke) and just are easy to dance to.

So the following really doesn't have much to do with the topic of Music Monday, but I think it's something that I should talk about.
A year ago on this Wednesday, July 16th at 11:22 AM Eastern Time, it will be a year since Talia Joy Castellano passed away. I really looked up to her for her bravery and knidess, she was such a great person and inspired so many people around the world. I hope you listen to her tribute song by the Gospel Boys.
RIP Talia, love you girl.

Hey, Hey, Hey! It's CHUCKLES here and today I shall be doing Wings of Fire the first book. I am only about halfway through so this should be interesting.

Here is a list of the main characters/Dragonets:
Clay: He is a Mudwing dragon
Tsunami: She is a Seawing dragon
Glory: She is a Rainwing dragon
Starflight: He is a Nightwing dragon
Sunny: She is a Sandwing dragon

This book is about a prophecy to stop the Great War. Supposedly the war is supposed to be stopped by a Mudwing, a Seawing, a Nightwing, a Sandwing, and a Skywing. But as Hvitur (an Icewing dragon and one of the guardians of the Dragonets) flew the original Skywing egg to the underground cavern in the mountain where he and the other guardians lived two of Queen Burn's (One of the Sandwing Queens) soldiers attacked him and the egg was dropped off the edge of a cliff by Queen Burn. So the guardians substituted it with a Rainwing egg.

Now you are probably confused by who is who so let me go over that.

These are the guardians of the Dragonets:
Hvitur: He is and Icewing
Kestrel: She is a Skywing
Dune: He is a Sandwing
Webs: He is a Seawing
Asha: She is a Mudwing

These are the Queens:
Queen Moorhen: Mudwing
Queen Blister: Sandwing
Queen Blaze: Sandwing
Queen Burn: Sandwing
Queen Scarlet: Skywing
Queen Coral: Seawing
Queen Dazzling: Rainwing
Queen Glacier: Icewing

Now your Probably wondering why there isn't a Nightwing Queen and why there are 3 Sandwing Queens. Well the Nightwing Queen is a secret. There are 3 Sandwing Queens because their mother Queen Oasis died they are fighting over the throne of the Sandwings.

So guys that is all for today if you want to learn more please comment down below or go to Wings of Fire Wikia. See ya next week!

Just so everyone knows, the United States also owns several territories, some of which being Guam, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, and the Northern Mariana Islands. There are several other "unorganized" territories, as Wikipedia puts it, as well as the four listed above. In the past few years, they actually been considering making Puerto Rico a state, but obviously, that hasn't quite happened yet.

Well, I hope you all enjoyed my post for this week, See Ya!

Hey guys it is CHUCKLES and I am very sorry that my last two posts are late. I don't know why it happened because I had them on a schedule to go up on a certain day and for some reason they didn't. The reason why I had them on a schedule is I went on a vacation and they didn't post.
So I am very sorry,

Travel Tuesdays with not_luna_lovegood #2

Hello, welcome to Travel Tuesdays, brought to you by not_luna_lovegood. Today I will be talking about a trip I took last year to Six Flags Great America, in Gurnee, Illinois!

The sign for Six Flags Great America.

Though there were a few things that happened that weren't that fun, overall, the trip was awesome! We got up early in the morning to drop my now-three-year-old (he was two at the time) brother at my grandma's house since he was too young to go to the park. Then we headed to the park!

The ride to the park wasn't that bad. It took us a couple hours to get there, and we stopped for breakfast on the way. We have this...thing (I have no idea how else to describe it) and it lets you hook an iPad to the back of a car seat so you can watch movies on the iPad. My brother and I watched Tangled, which I have seen at least a thousand times but it never gets old. When that was over, we just talked for a while until WE ARRIVED!

The first ride we were going to go on was the Whizzer, which you sit "tandem-style", whatever that means (I got that from Wikipedia). We were so excited to go on the coaster, but coincidentally, it broke down RIGHT BEFORE my family was going to go on. Perfect timing!

The Whizzer, which sadly, I didn't get to go on!

After the Whizzer broke down, we decided to go on the Demon. At first, I was a little worried since I had never been on a roller coaster with a loop before, but my mom told me that it was the first roller coaster she had been on and she liked it and that she knew I would as well. So my dad, nine-year-old brother (eight at the time) and I went on it and it was a total blast! When the ride began, I started to regret going on the coaster, but I ended up LOVING the ride! The best part was the corkscrews.

The Demon, which is one of my favorite roller coasters!

After that, I was going to go on the American Eagle with my brother and my dad, but my brother had to pee and I chickened out (I don't like big drops on roller coasters), so my dad went on it by himself. My mom took my brother and I exploring around the park (and yes, we did find a bathroom) while my dad rode the American Eagle.

The American Eagle, which I didn't go on.

When Dad was done with the American Eagle, the three of us met up with him and we decided to split up again. Mom took me and my brother on the trolley while Dad went on the X-Flight. The trolley took us on a tour all around the park and it was a nice, relaxing ride. Meanwhile, my dad said the X-Flight was one of his favorite roller coasters of all time, despite the fact that the day we went to Six Flags was the only time he had been on it.

The X-Flight, which my dad went on and loved!

After that, my brother, Dad, and I went on the Dark Knight coaster, which was awesome! I loved the waiting room, which made you feel like you were actually in Gotham City. The actual ride was really cool! You couldn't see where you would go next, which I really liked. I would definitely ride the Dark Knight again.

The entryway to the Dark Knight, which was awesome!

For our last ride, we all went on the double-decker carousel. We rode on the top layer, and it was so much more fun than a regular carousel! You got an awesome view of the park. It was a great way to end the amazing Great America experience.

On our way back, we stopped for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. I had been there once before, but I was fairly small then so I don't remember it. I really, really loved it and I now consider it my favorite restaurant! I ordered Four Cheese Pasta, and it was actually my least favorite of what the family got since I tried a little of the rest of the family's entrees. My dad got BBQ Salmon, my mom got Chicken Madeira (I think that's what it was called) and my brother got BBQ Pulled Pork, and I liked all of those better than the Four Cheese Pasta, which was good nonetheless. But the best part was the Adam's Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Ripple cheesecake we got for dessert, which was insanely good! Overall, it was an amazing dinner.

The Cheesecake Factory, my favorite restaurant!

After we were done, we watched Finding Nemo, which, as you probably know by now, is my all-time favorite movie. Then, after an incredible day, we came home. My trip to Six Flags was such an amazing experience that I will never forget, and I highly recommend going there!

Instrumental, Pop Music, and Repeating Songs! Brought to you by Banana_elephant

I honestly had no idea what I was going to post today, so whatever follows will be random stuff about my relationship with music.

As you may know if you read my first post, I'm a writer. I really like writing epic things like science fiction and I'm trying to get into history mysteries. Sometimes I get really stuck and I just don't know what to write. When this happens I generally turn to one of my favorite YouTube videos, which I will put a link to. It really inspires me to write, and using music in this way actually is how I found some of my favorite instrumental songs like Adagio in D Minor. I also found one of my favorite artists (? I think???) Audiomachine because of this video. I love their music and how inspirational it is. It's epicness level is super high and is currently making me type really fast lol. Audiomachine and Murray Gold are my favorite composers when it comes to modern instrumental, but I also like Hans Zimmer and Trevor Rabin. Generally I actually listen to instrumental more than any other kind of music, and this probably would surprise you if you knew me.

6 Hours of The Best Inspirational Music

One of my favorite parts of Pop Culture is the music, but most of all the boy bands. I love Big Time Rush, they're my favorite boy band out there. Just listening to their songs make my day feel so much brighter and happier.
One Direction is also one of my favorites because I like how the boys act around each other. I don't understand the hate towards them, I mean seriously. Most of the hate is because they're really mainstream, but we're not all hipsters, are we? (Sorry if that last comment offended anyone.)

I also listen to 5th Harmony, which is not a boy band (obviously). I listened to them for a little while when they first started their official music career, and I started to listen to them again. 5 Seconds of Summer I guess is a boy band, but I really don't consider them to be seeing how they're more punk than pop (even though their genre is considered punk-pop or whatever). Almost constantly I have She Looks so Perfect stuck in my head, and I find that hilarious for some odd reason.

Okay, hands down my favorite soundtracks are the LotR and Doctor Who tracks. I seriously love them so much, especially the songs The Fellowship, Concerning Hobbits, Doomsday, and I am the Doctor. Even though they are my favorite soundtracks, my favorite soundtrack song is Ben/National Treasure Theme. If you've never heard it, I'll insert a link to it below. Listening to it just makes me feel so good, and so adventurous.
Ben/National Treasure Theme

This is one thing that really annoys me about music though. You know when you really like a song, so you buy it? Then you listen to it three million times? Then if you hear it again you want to bang your head on a wall for three hours?
Yeah that is like on my Pet Peeves Top 10 list. It bothers me so much, because I can really like a song and then BOOM nope.
I know this has to happen to everyone.

Thank you for bearing with me, I wasn't quite sure what to talk about today. I'm also sorry if some of that was gibberish, I sorta got really into the music I'm listening to.

Hey Guys it's me CHUCKLES and it's my first Fandom Friday. Today I will be doing Thirteen Treasures by Michelle Harrison. I know that it isn't that big of a fandom but I knew not_Luna_ Lovegood wanted to do Harry Potter and I was gonna do that at first so I decicded to do this. And I am very happy about it.

First of all it is a trilogy and I only read the first one and just about half way through the second. My favorite character is probably Fabian, Warwick, or The Mad Morag. The reason why is because Fabian is kind of like me (I like to observe things and adventure), Warwick is very mysterious so he tends to make the plot interesting, and The Mad Morag... I really don't know why I like her.

The whole book is mostly about Fabian and Tanya (the main character) trying to find Morwenna Bloom and rescue her from the fairy realm. Morwenna Bloom had been brought into the fairy realm 50 years ago and her best friend was Tanya's grandma, Florence, and she had told Tanya about Morwenna Bloom.

Now I am going to tell you about the characters.

Tanya has the ability to see fairys and other magical creatures. Since she was born with the ability to see fairys she has a fairy gaurdian, Gredin.

Florence is Tanya's grandma and also has the second sight. Her gaurdian is Raven. Florence lives in Elvesden manor.

Fabian is Warwick's son his mother died when he was just a small child.

Warwick is Amos' son and is the current gamekeeper of Elvesden Manor. He hasn't the ability to see fairys but has a potion made by the Mad Morag so he can see them.

Amos is the old gamekeeper but still lives there with Warwick and Fabian. He was accused by many that he put Morwenna Bloom into the fairy realm.

Morwenna Bloom is a human trapped in the fairy realm until someone switches places with her.

I'm sorry you guys but if I go on I will reveal too much of the plot so if you want to know you'll have too read it. (Or look it up on wikipedia like Banana_Elephant did and she now refuses to read it because she doesn't think it looks like a very good book even though it is awesome.) So I will see you guys next week with Fandom Friday. Adios!

Throwback Thursday with Quidditch_Turtle

Hello everyone, and welcome to Throwback Thursday with Quidditch_Turtle! Bare with me on this one, cuz I'm not so sure that I'm going to be good at this...

This week, I will be talking about women's fashion from each decade of the 1900's. I'm not really into fashion that much, but I couldn't think of anything else to post about, so here goes nothin!

  1. The 1910's
The ladies of this decade wore long skirts and very outspoken hats...

2. The 1920's

A lot of women I saw in pictures had short hair and caps that were fitting to their head and simple, Mary Jane-like shoes, like the ones featured in this photo.

3. The 1930's

Most women of the 30's wore skirts or dresses that fell long past their knees.

4. The 1940's

In this time period they wore knee-high dresses, most of which had a v-shaped neckline.

5. The 1950's
In this decade, people decided to be more glamorous, so a lot of women wore white or black gloves and poofier dress skirts than usual. This was also the time of Marilyn Monroe, if you didn't already know that.

6. The 1960's
Personally, I think that there was a big leap in terms of fashion from the 50's to the 60's. All of a sudden there was a TON of color and pattern, and women wore more than just dresses. A lot of women rolled their hair at the bottom, like the ones in the second picture.

7. The 1970's
Welcome to the era of bell-bottoms, tall boots, short dresses, and afros, also known as the Disco era. Fashion from the 70's screams fun and games, and really, how can you go wrong with a night of hitting the dance floor under a disco ball ?

8. The 1980's
I have one word to describe the 80's: Big. And especially hair. You'll see in the pictures. I know this post is about women's fashion, but I just had to include the second picture. Men were just as up to date as women were with the latest trends!

And last but not least-
9. The 1990's
From what I saw in pictures, there were a lot of jeans that were worn in this time. There was also a lot of over-sized clothing worn for I have no idea what reason. Maybe they just thought it was "cool" I guess.

Well, that's all for now, hope you enjoyed the first Throwback Thursday post by me, Quidditch_Turtle! Until next week!

Travel Tuesdays with not_luna_lovegood #1

Hello, it's not_luna_lovegood and I will be doing Travel Tuesdays for the month of July. I had originally said that I was going to do my first week on my adventures at a local amusement park, but I accidentally posted it to the site before Tuesday, so I deleted it and now it is gone forever. It took me quite a while to write that article and I will not be able to get it redone by today (sorry), so I will save it for sometime in the future. My first Travel Tuesday will be on places I have never been to, but would really like to visit!

One place I would really like to go to is Orlando, Florida. I love Disney and have always wanted to go to Disney World, so if I went to Orlando, I would spend a lot of time there. And as you already know, I adore anything and everything Harry Potter, so I would visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (at Universal Studios Orlando) as well.

Left, the Cinderella Castle at Disney World. Right, the real-life version of Hogwarts at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

I live in America and really love it here, but I have always wanted to visit another country. The country I want to visit most is France. I would love to go to Paris and see the Eiffel Tower in person! I would also want to try all the delicious-looking French food, like creme brulee, eclair, and a baguette!

A rather pretty picture of the Eiffel Tower.

Another country I would like to visit is Australia. My grandmother recently went there and she said it was amazing! I would love to go snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef (where Finding Nemo, my favorite movie of all time, takes place) and visit the Sydney Opera House (my definition of a beautiful-looking building).

The Sydney Opera House at night. If you don't think that's a beautiful-looking building, I will give you multiple reasons why you are wrong.

I think it would be really cool to go to New York City. If the Brick Wall team were to go on a trip to anywhere we wanted, and if I were to pick where we would go, I would pick New York. I would love to go exploring around Manhattan with my fellow Brick Wall bloggers during the day and catch a Broadway show at night!

On the left is the Manhattan skyline at night, and on the right is Broadway!

The last place I would like to visit is Hawaii! Cliche, I know, but who doesn't want to go there? I would love to relax on the beach with a good book, swim in the beautiful blue water, and maybe learn how to hula!

One of the Hawaiian Islands (I am not sure which). It's so pretty!

So those are my top 5 dream vacation spots! Where would you want to go on a vacation?
