My Top 10 Favorite SpongeBob SquarePants Episodes (Part 2) (by not_luna_lovegood)

I'm not_luna_lovegood, and welcome back to my countdown of my top 10 favorite episodes of the beloved Nickelodeon cartoon, SpongeBob Squarepants. I am very sorry this is later than expected. You should read my previous post before you read this one. Before we begin, I would like to mention a few things (that I literally copied and pasted from my previous post):

-All of these episodes are from the first 3 seasons, as I feel the show dropped in quality after these seasons.
-When I mention the episode number, that's the episode number overall, not just in the season.
-Pictures and episode information come from the SpongeBob Wikia page at:  http://spongebob.wikia.com. I also used the synopses on the site to help me come up with my own.
-This will be VERY long, as many of my posts are, so I will split this into two parts.
-Lastly, I do not own SpongeBob, Nickelodeon does. This is just a fanmade post.

So without further ado, let's continue, shall we?

5. Graveyard Shift (season 2, episode 36a)
 Graveyard Shift
In this episode, Mr. Krabs, SpongeBob and Squidward's money-obsessed boss, declares that the Krusty Krab will start having night shifts. SpongeBob is excited, but Squidward is bummed. While they are working, Squidward decides to be a jerk and scare SpongeBob with the tale of the Hash-Slinging Slasher (which SpongeBob hilariously struggles to pronounce). A former fry cook at the Krusty Krab, the Hash-Slinging Slasher cut off his hand one night, replaced it with a spatula, was hit by a bus, and died. Every Tuesday night (which was the night it was at the time of this episode), the Slasher comes to get his revenge. There are three signs that he will come, and all three of them happen. However, the supposed "Hash-Slinging Slasher" is actually just a fish applying for a job. I'm usually not into scary stories and stuff like that, however, this episode is one of my favorites. I just think it's really funny and clever.

4. Idiot Box (season 3, episode 44b)
Idiot Box
This episode is about SpongeBob and Patrick buying a HUGE TV, only to use the giant box it comes in. Squidward thinks it's outrageous that they are being so silly, but SpongeBob tells him that the box can be anything he wants, he just has to use his...
Image result for imagination spongebob
The "Imagination!" part has become a meme beloved by many who use the Internet, and it's the main reason why this episode is so high on my list. So, SpongeBob and Patrick begin to play in the box while Squidward watches the TV they didn't use. Squidward begins hearing noises such as an avalance and a helicopter that sound very realistic. When he walks outside, he discovers that it's coming from their imaginations. Squidward comes into their box and goes to "Robot-Pirate Island" with them, where the sound effects are just SpongeBob and Patrick going "Beep! Beep!". Yet when Squidward leaves, the sound effects are grandiose and realistic. He decides to check out the box late at night when the two buddies are asleep, becomes a race car driver, and starts hearing the realistic sound effects. Little does he know that he's actually in a dump truck and is going to the dump! Overall, this episode is one of my favorites because I think it's funny (that's like my reasoning for every single episode I mention) and I like the "Imagination!" thing.

3. Krusty Krab Training Video (season 3, episode 50b)
 Krusty Krab Training Video
This episode is different from other SpongeBob episodes in that there isn't really a plot. Krusty Krab Training Video is a video an introduction to working at the Krusty Krab an employee would watch on their first day. SpongeBob is the subject of the video, and we learn along with him. The viewers learn about the humble origins of the undersea burger joint, how to be a good employee (as opposed to being a "Squidward", or a bad employee), and how to have good hygiene. Basically everything there is to know about working at the Krusty Krab, except for how to make a Krabby Patty. I think it's hilarious how the episode ends, with it zooming in on a Krabby Patty and then ending abruptly. I also love the fish who appears in the video, yells "HOOPLA!" and then gets hit by a brick. Overall, this episode is one of my all-time favorites and it has been ever since I first saw it.

2. Band Geeks (season 2, episode 35b)
 Band Geeks
My runner-up in this countdown is Band Geeks! In this episode, Squidward's arch-rival, Squilliam Fancyson (who has been extremely successful at life while Squidward has not) calls Squidward and asks for his band to sub in for him at the Bubble Bowl. Squidward says yes, but the problem is, he does not have a band. He assembles the citizens of Bikini Bottom together to form a marching band. The band trains for a week and is not very good at all. They get into a brawl and end up disbanding, but SpongeBob tells them to stick with it for Squidward. On the day of the Bubble Bowl (which is like the Super Bowl), Squilliam shows up expecting Squidward's band to be atrocious. However, they end up being fantastic, playing a rock ballad called "Sweet Victory". Squilliam is stunned that they're so good while Squidward celebrates. This episode is one of my favorites because I'm a band geek myself. As I was doing "research" (if you can even call it that) for this article, I found that many people agree that this is one of the greatest SpongeBob episodes of all time, and I can't say I disagree. Lastly, this episode contains my favorite SpongeBob quote in existence, when Patrick asks Squidward, "Is mayonnaise an instrument?" This episode was close to being my favorite, but my #1 just can't be beat.

And now, my #1. Drumroll please...

1. Pizza Delivery (season 1, episode 5a)
 Pizza Delivery
Sing with me now: "The Krusty Krab Pizza, is the pizza, for you and me! The Krusty Krab Pizza, is the pizza, very tasty!" Nothing can top this episode. In it, a confused customer calls the Krusty Krab ordering a pizza, even though the restaurant doesn't serve pizza. However, Mr. Krabs decides that the customer needs to be satisfied so he sends SpongeBob and Squidward out to deliver a specially-made Krusty Krab Pizza. They first start out in SpongeBob's boat, but when that runs out of gas, they end up walking to the customer's house. SpongeBob annoys Squidward to no extent, singing the aforementioned "Krusty Krab Pizza" song and telling him about the pioneers he saw in a movie once. They walk for a while and start to get hungry, and Squidward thinks they should eat the pizza, but SpongeBob is outraged and tells Squidward that it's for the customer. When they get to the customer's house, he is excited to eat his pizza, but gets mad when he realizes they forgot to give him a soda with it. SpongeBob starts sobbing, and Squidward (who actually does somewhat care about SpongeBob) goes up to the customer, shoves it in his face and makes him eat it in one gulp. This episode is my favorite for a lot of reasons. I love how Squidward actually cares about SpongeBob when Sponge is devastated by the fact that the customer is unsatisfied. I also love the "Krusty Krab Pizza" song. Lastly, this episode is my favorite because it makes me laugh from beginning to end. It's an all-time classic and no other SpongeBob episode can compare.

Thanks for reading and I'm sorry this got to be so long! I will post again soon!

My Top 10 Favorite SpongeBob Squarepants Episodes (Part 1) (by not_luna_lovegood

First airing on May 1, 1999, SpongeBob SquarePants is by far the most popular and iconic cartoon to ever air on Nickelodeon. The show is beloved by kids and adults alike and is about SpongeBob and his friends' adventures in the fictional underwater town of Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob has spawned a large fanbase, tons of merchandise, and even two theatrically released films. In honor of the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards (which will air this Saturday, March 28), I, not_luna_lovegood, will count down my top 10 favorite episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants. A few notes:
-All of these episodes are from the first 3 seasons, as I feel the show dropped in quality after these seasons.
-When I mention the episode number, that's the episode number overall, not just in the season.
-Pictures and episode information come from the SpongeBob Wikia page at:  http://spongebob.wikia.com. I also used the synopses on the site to help me come up with my own.
-This will be VERY long, as many of my posts are, so I will split this into two parts.
-Lastly, I do not own SpongeBob, Nickelodeon does. This is just a fanmade post.

10. Procrastination (season 2, episode 37a)
 Procrastination
In this episode, SpongeBob is assigned to write an 800-word essay on what not to do at a stoplight for Mrs. Puff's boating class. After two hours, he only has ten words on his paper (What Not To Do At A Stoplight By: SpongeBob Squarepants). He pulls an all-nighter trying to finish the essay, but keeps getting distracted by silly things (such as calling his best friend, Patrick, for advice and hallucinating that his house is on fire. The episode ends with Mrs. Puff announcing that the class will just go on a field trip to a traffic light instead. This episode is in my top 10 because it's REALLY relatable to me. As a student, I've discovered that I am really, really good at procrastinating, so that's why I like it. Other than that, I like it because I just think it's a funny episode and I love the twist at the end.

9. Big Pink Loser (season 2, episode 23a)
Big Pink Loser
This episode begins with Patrick, SpongeBob's lovably stupid starfish friend, receiving a trophy. Turns out, it's actually SpongeBob's for working so hard at the Krusty Krab. Patrick is jealous and wants to earn a prize of his own, so he gets a job at the Krusty Krab. Patrick tries his hand at many jobs, failing miserably at all of them. Just when Patrick is about to quit because he thinks he's a big pink loser (hence the title), he receives an award for doing nothing longer than anyone else. This episode makes my list for having one of my favorite SpongeBob scenes ever. Patrick is given the assignment to take customers' orders at the checkout and with that, he has to answer the Krusty Krab phone. The customers begin the call, "Is this the Krusty Krab?" and then Patrick says one of his best quotes ever, "NO! THIS IS PATRICK!" At school, my friends from the Brick Wall and I quote this ALL. THE. TIME.

8. The Camping Episode (season 3, episode 57b)

The Camping Episode
This episode is about SpongeBob, Patrick, and their grumpy neighbor, Squidward, going camping in SpongeBob's front yard. They roast marshmallows (from a can) and sing not just any campfire song, but THE CAMPFIRE SONG SONG (link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTbc2NeErnU). Spongebob then tells Patrick and Squidward tales of the sea bear, which is a scary monster sort of like Bigfoot or the Boogeyman. He lists off many strange things that attract sea bears, such as badly playing clarinet outside at night and eating cubed cheese. Squidward does all these things to prove that they don't exist, but a sea bear comes and attacks Squidward. At the end, there is another creature called the sea rhinoceros which appears, but does not attack Squidward. The aforementioned Campfire Song Song is the main reason why this episode makes my list, other than just being a really funny episode overall.

7. I'm Your Biggest Fanatic (season 2, episode 30b)

I'm Your Biggest Fanatic
In this episode, SpongeBob and Patrick go to a jellyfishing convention, where SpongeBob meets his hero, Kevin the Sea Cucumber. Kevin is the leader of the Jellyspotters club, which SpongeBob tries desperately to join. SpongeBob takes multiple tests to prove that he is truly ready to join the Jellyspotters, and much to Kevin's dismay, he passes every one while Kevin keeps getting stung. The final task SpongeBob is given is to catch a queen jellyfish. He tries for hours using a queen jellyfish call which produces the sound "loser", and just when he's about to give up, Kevin and his buddies come to him in a queen jellyfish-shaped robot. A king jellyfish appears and falls in love with the robot. SpongeBob is the only one brave enough to confront the king jellyfish, as Kevin was actually a phony. In the end, SpongeBob is made leader of the club, but he decides that hero worship isn't healthy and refuses. I just like this episode overall because I'm a fanatic of a lot of things. Also, I'm sorry the summaries are way longer than me explaining why I like the episode.

6. Grandma's Kisses (season 2, episode 26a)
 Grandma's Kisses
This episode tells the tale of SpongeBob enjoying trips to his grandma's house. His grandma treats him like a baby, giving him cookies and reading him stories. SpongeBob's peers at the Krusty Krab find out about this and make fun of him, so he decides that he is now an adult. He tells his grandma that he's ready to grow up and comes to her in fake sideburns, with Patrick by his side. Trying to be a grown-up, SpongeBob refuses the activities he once loved, like cookies, storytime, and kisses. Patrick loves these activities and gets very close with Grandma, which makes SpongeBob jealous. He starts crying his eyes out because he doesn't want to grow up and wants to be babied by Grandma forever. Grandma tells him that it's okay to be treated like a baby every once in a while, and that she will always be there for him. I love this episode because I can relate to it. Like SpongeBob, I don't want to grow up and I wish I could stay a kid forever.

I will post Part 2 tomorrow, so keep on the lookout for that!

My Top 5 Pet Peeves (by not_luna_lovegood)

Hey, it's not_luna_lovegood, and a few days ago, I posted a recap of the premiere of "Dancing With The Stars". It was up for like an hour before I deleted it, and if you're wondering why it stayed on for such a short time, I will tell you why. I started off thinking it would be a really good idea, but then I decided that it would be best to delete it. TV reviewing/recapping just isn't really my thing. If you did see it and are wondering where it went, that's why.

For my next post, I will write about 5 things that really, really bug me, also known as pet peeves. These are in no particular order, they're just 10 things that people tend to do that get on my nerves a lot. Maybe you agree, maybe you don't, this is just my personal opinion. Also, if you do these things, I am not saying that I dislike you personally, because I probably don't know you. What I'm trying to say is that I just get annoyed when people do them. So let's get started!

1. Bad Grammar
Okay, maybe I exaggerated a little with the "Grammar Hitler" thing in my opening post. Still, I am a pretty big grammar Nazi. Any time I see a word spelled wrong or the wrong use of "there" in a piece of writing, I have to correct it, usually in a snobbish way. I'm sorry, it's just that bad grammar gets on my nerves.

2. Random Staring
It's a nitpick, I know, but I tend to get annoyed when people just stare at me. It usually happens to me when I'm in class, and I'm tempted to fight back with a witty, sarcastic remark. That would be rude of me, however, so I don't do it. I just keep all my anger bottled up inside of me...until now...hehe. I also hate it when you're coming back from, say, the bathroom, and the entire class just starts staring at you. It really annoys me!

3. Coming Into Class Before The Class Before You Is Done
This is another nitpick I have that has to do with school. In some of my classes, the class after mine always comes in way too early, before I am done packing up. I don't know why, but it really annoys me!! I seriously wish that they would wait until my classmates and I are done packing up before they burst into the classroom.

4. The Unrelated Photo Caption
I am quite active on my private Instagram, which I will obviously not reveal (however, brick_wall_bloggers is the Brick Wall's official Instagram, follow us!). I use it to take a peek into my friends' and favorite celebrities' lives (that doesn't sounds stalker-ish, does it?). One thing that really bugs me on Instagram is when people will take a selfie or something and then post a COMPLETELY unrelated caption, like a song lyric. When people do this, I tend to get really annoyed and am like, Is this a picture of the person who said the quote? No! Is this some edit of the quote? No! This is a selfie/picture of some pretty scenery! So why isn't the caption something like "Just chillin!" or "I saw this and I thought it was pretty"? It really bugs me!

5. Stereotypes
Here at the Brick Wall, it's a fact that we dislike stereotypes completely! Heck, Banana_Elephant made a post all about it (it's under Music Monday, go check it out if you haven't already). Not all blondes are dumb, not all women are weak, and not all teenagers are rebellious! True, some might be, but not all of them! I really hate stereotypes.

I was gonna do 10 but I could only think of 5 at the moment. My next post will either be on a list of songs that make you want to dance or maybe Top 10 Episodes of SpongeBob Squarepants (since that show is actually a pretty common topic amongst us bloggers). Or maybe it will be something totally different! Whatever my next post will be, I'll have you know that I'll be back soon!

3. Vance Joy- Riptide
